The Mutamathil Type Style

Our patented approach to Arabic and Arabetic font design and implementation is a unique approach to create simplified or traditional like Arabic fonts that can fit all applications. Utilizing the Mutamthil type style principles of design, type designers can produce endless varieties of fonts for a wide range of scripts. One major advantage of this style is its easy and economic approach to Arabetic fonts design.

Arabetics, the sole owner of this type style, will welcome any partnership with vendors or type designers who want to implement and market their own Mutamathil type style fonts. Please visit the Mutamathil Type style page for further information.

Natural Arabetic Input Method (NAIM)

Our patent pending Arabic and Arabetic text input method is a unique approach to input complex text utilizing minimal static glyph substitutions. We have implemented this method using either Open Type features or pure programmatic logic, or both. Type designers can take advantage of this method by creating NAIM enabled fonts. Vendors can use our simple but solid logic to implement this method as new user option in their text editing environment software. Please visit our NAIM page for further information.

Java Swing Modules and Components

To address the need to utilize Arabetic fonts and scripts on the web we have developed several Java modules and utilities and associated XML and JavaScript interface components. These Java components are a group of very small Java applets utilizing Swing technology which are downloaded securely to client side to accomplish one of the tasks below or other new ones. All components are in their initial version release. We are constantly adding and updating them for future new releases. They work both in the Windows and Mac environment but the complex script support in Mac depends on whether are compliant with the Apple Advance Technology (AAT). For further information examine the main Java applet configuration and parameters.

Font Server Web Environment: A Java based font server enabling any web client to edit and display security fonts placed on the server. No fonts are downloaded to eliminate the risk of pirating. Applets simply access your fonts in a secure environment allowing users to use fonts as if they are installed on the a client PC. Fonts must be Unicode compliant fonts.

This utility can be used by a type foundry website to let users text drive fonts and specific script display before buying them. Or it can be used to display a page with a pre selected font by ant site. Please check our Arabretic font browsing page as one use example.

Complex Script Text Editing Web Environment: a basic web enabled Java applets components acting together as an editing and and communicating environment wherein user can select server side fonts, keyboards, text ordering, input methods and more. Editor can handle any script including complex scripts like Arabic or Persian without the need to have OS (i.e. Windows) language or keyboard support installed. User may print or send the resulting text as an email.

This fully customizable editor utilizes easy to edit XML and PHP files to supply users with server side keyboards based on their and site designer choice by either invoking physical keyboards or virtual keyboards displayed on screen, or both. Creating a new keyboard is fast and easy. Users can also select text ordering regardless of script so that one can type English right to left and Arabic left to right to eliminate some of the awkward behaviors of current bidi environment. Further more this editing environment is the first environment ever to offer our new Arabetic Natural Input Method (NAIM) especially designed to address the negative effect of glyph substitution.

These java editing components can be utilized as a bidi text editor, or can be integrated within a webside to create web forms utilizing server side keyboards and fonts eliminating the need to have user install localized language support. Input method selection may can be utilized for educational of pure editing applications.
